Sunday at Mary's cabin

Today, we spent the day fishin up north at my Auntie Mary's cabin up north! Here is Ethan with one of his massive sunnies. By noon, he was trying to put his own worms on the hook and he held every fish! No fear!!

Lauren, on the other hand, wanted nothing to do with the fish, the worms or anything remotely dirty... What a little princess!

Brad finally caught that big guy that was hiding under the pontoon... Giving him a great big kiss before he let him go. I think that we caught him 3 or 4 more times after this!!

Tonight, the kiddo's stayed at a co-workers house for a bit & Brad and I were actually able to go out for a little bit!



We went out to dinner at this little tiny bar & restaurant in Pillager. The food was fantastic!! Brad also beat me in a quick game of pool!! We started back and then realized that we had only been gone an hour & 15 minutes. Fearing that the sitter would make fun of us...





We stopped off at this little lake in Pillager and just took the time to walk hand in hand, looking at the lake, just being together!

Andrea's Bachlorette party!!

Tonight was the big party that Alexa & I have been planning for months!! We had a great time at Buca Di Beppo's and then back at Andrea's!! Thanks to everyone for a great evening!!

Digital Scrapbooking at Heather's!!

Today, I was able to sneak away from everyday life for a little bit & go to the cities to a digital scrapbooking workshop at my cousin Heather's house. (what a great husband I have!) I had a great time!! I was able to bring my best friend in the whole world, Andrea, who will be getting married next month herself. I was able to upload all of my wedding pictures (it's only been 7 years). I wanted to share a few of my favorites with you!!

Cinderella Ballet

Finally!! The day has come for the Cinderella Ballet!! We have been looking forward to this day for over 2 months!! We were given the opportunity to go to this ballet through Girl Scouts.

For those of you who knew me as a child, you can imagine how I had been looking forward to this!!

I am not sure who was more excited for this, me or Lauren!!

Lauren was soooo good during the performance, much better than many people much older than her. She really seemed to respect the ballet at this young age. She was really funny at the first intermission. She said "I just don't understand one thing, why aren't they talking?"

We even got to have the girls go onstage after the performance and have their pictures taken on the stage with some of the cast!!

We had such a fun Mommy - Lauren day!! I am really blessed to have such a great daughter!!

Daisy Investiture

Today was a special day for our Daisy troop. We held our investiture ceremony. This is where the girls become official Girl Scouts. My Co-leader, Cora made the girls daisy crowns and we held a candlelight ceremony. It was all pretty moving, I think. I had to fight back tears several times!!. So I would like to introduce to you all, the newest members of Girl Scouts, Daisy Troop 961!!
